Worth the wait? Perhaps. You be the judge of the latest offering from Sony Pictures Classics. Step away from fast cars and super hero space aliens to go on.  A more localized journey with Paris Can Wait. Just right for the romantic crowd this feast for the eyes and tasty palette is now taking reservations at select Cineplex Cinemas around B.C. And most likely the Fifth Avenue Cinemas

Long has it been know that actresses above the ripe “old” age of 40 have a time getting parts in Hollywood. Able to buck is trend is Diane Lane (Secretariat) who again shows poise and charm as the o so demure wife of a brash Hollywood executive. Leave it to Donald Trump bad boy Alec Baldwin to perfectly embody the soul, and spirit of a much too busy in your face producer on the prowl in Europe.

The happy couple is in France and on route to Paris. However as duty calls our would be Steven Spielberg jets off to scenic Budapest for a shoot leaving the Mrs. on her own. That wouldn’t make for much of a movie. To save the day, Jack, a mutual film friend, comes to the rescue offering to escort the wife to Paris. Along the way, French hospitality is in abundance as this bon vivant type man shows the lady how to life to the fullest whether any romance develops naturally is what reels viewers in.

Made by Francis Ford Copolla’s wife in her theatrical feature film debut Paris Can Wait is a bIt slow and strictly for the more mature female crowd. Though the French, lead actor is a smooth talker and full of elegance and the French. Food and countryside are to die for this film is purely for those romance addicts and armchair travelers who yearn for the Parisian lifestyle.
