  • Filipino comedy classic “Alyas Batman En Robin” recently made it to the American late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

It was part of a gag relating to the recently released Batman film.

On the official Twitter account of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” they wrote: “Warner Brothers will not be releasing @TheBatman in Russia, so the Kremlin unveiled a teaser trailer for their own…”

It was accompanied by a parody trailer composed of different scenes culled from different films from around the world, including those from “Alyas Batman En Robin.”

Note the film, released in 1991, starred Joey de Leon, Keempee de Leon, and Rene Requiestas.

It spoofed the titular superheroes from DC Comics, Batman and Robin.

In there Joey played Batman, while Rene is the Joker, and Keempee is Robin.

Note that at the latter part of the clip, the face of Russian President Vladimir Putin was digitally placed onto Joey’s.

Meanwhile, Joey’s son, Jako, re-posted it on his Twitter profile, writing: “Haha fun fact: Production had to pay for rights, which makes Alyas Batman en Robin not only a pinoy classic but a legit Batman adaptation.”

    Joey “liked” his post. (mb.com)
