Ogie Alcasid on celebrities appointed to government

  • Ogie Alcasid urged the public to give the celebrities who were assigned to government positions by President Roridgo Duterte the chance to show their capability to serve first and not to judge them quickly. Just like in the case of singer Jimmy Bondoc who was appointed as PAGCOR’s incoming vice president for entertainment.

Huwag muna nating husgahan hindi pa nga nakakapagtrabaho, pagtrabahuin muna natin and you could tell naman na they just want to serve,” he said.

He added, “Although it comes with the territory, when you want to serveganon talaga, it’s a thankless job lets pray for them.”

Recently, Jimmy Bondoc took to social media to defend his appointment.

“I don’t mind people questioning the credentials of some of us appointees. However, I would also like to say that Entertainment is God’s gift to me. I know it back and forth. But I am also willing to learn much more these coming years. Natanggap na ako sa pagcor. Sana, matanggap niyo rin ako sa bago kong susubukan.

He further stressed, “I am here to serve. This industry has served me. I want to serve the next generation, hoping I can make conditions better for them. Guys, I may or may not be the best man for this job. But it’s a done deal. Watch me use this money from ‘gaming’ and transform it into awesome shows in Pagcor, livelihood for my beloved musicians and artists, and turn money into joy. Just watch, you have my word. Watch.” ( K. Cagape, push .com)
