  • aga-mulach (1)Aga Muhlach revealed that he will be headlining a movie again in 2015. “Next year [I will], I just need to lose 40 pounds, 40 pounds to go,” he said. When asked if he is going to do the movie with Lea Salonga, he relayed, “Well, I’m hoping, I’m really hoping to work with her again for the third time. I would really love to work with her again and we just have to make it right.”

He further shared, “I’ve said this again and again, and sabi ko nga we’ll only do a movie if the script is really nice, maganda istorya, nababagay sa ngayon, and if we both look good. Look fit at least, I mean we owe it  to our fans to look our best. So right now, I’m on a break. So next year I’ll see you guys. I’m looking forward to doing that movie na ilang taon nang napag-uusapan, hindi pa rin matuluy-tuloy.”

Aga also confirmed that he did not renew his contract with TV5. “We talked about it also and sabi ko this is the first time in 30 years that I really, parang, nagpahinga ako. So actually, ngayon nga lang naninibago ako nito. I’ll be back next year, January, February.”

Is he open to coming back to his former home network, ABS-CBN? “Siyempre naman, oo naman. I mean, I started with ABS-CBN and I’ve never had any bad blood with them. So I just need to lose weight, that’s the deal.”

He also relayed that he is not running for office this coming 2016 elections. “No more, no more. Parang I tried it and I was able to touch base with talagang mahihirap na tao. But then, it didn’t work, so no more. Parang it’s not for me.”

The actor ran for office during the May 2013 elections but he lost to his contender Rep. Felix William “Wimpy” Fuentebella. Aga filed a poll protest due to the alleged irregularities in the 2013 elections but he recently dropped the case. Aga shared  the reason why he dropped it, saying, “I think it will be better for the whole CamSur (Camarines Sur) and also for the fourth district. Mahirap ipaliwanag. Basta I think it’s just right, what I did was right lang. Parang we talked about it—me, my wife, and my kids na parang politics is not for us. I will still help though. I mean, I will still help. I will continue doing movies and continue to share my blessings, but not through politics.”

Aga is currently busy with the “Maaga Ang Pasko” program of Jollibee which is now on its 20th year. “It’s nice that you know, hanggang ngayon tuluy-tuloy pa rin ang ‘Maaga ang Pasko’ years. Sabi ko nga, like what I mentioned a while ago, government is all about politics and sometimes, when you’re reminded of this project ‘Maaga ang Pasko,’ it breaks that thing, eh, the cycle of all negative things. So, it becomes positive again. ‘Pag Pasko, para bang let’s just move on with our lives, ‘di ba?
