Small performances can yield big dividends. Once in a while a small story can resonate. See a family on the brink in the edgy Chained. Disturbing yet effective this new release from Pender PR is now making waves. Recipient of numerous film festival awards this high voltage drama is now available through video on demand simply by dialing it up from your local cable company or internet provider.

Tending to a small child can be trying. Problems can be more difficult if it’s a rambunctious teen age boy being raised by a hard-edged father. Making matters worse for this pair is their address which is in a depressed area of an American city long past it’s due date.

Please don’t confuse new movie Chained with a 2012 entry with the same name. Here we see the plight of Taylor, a young boy facing abuse from Pete, his law and order dad. Together Marlon Kazadi and Adrian Holmes (Elysium) click as the dysfunctional family. For escape Taylor gets away from it all scowling the neighborhood with his bike. A right turn here a wrong turn there sees this already mixed up lad running into foul play as somehow he gets mixed up with the criminal element with quite far reaching ramifications.

Buckle up for quite the experience as crime and justice collide along with a little teenage romance further adding fuel to this already combustible fire. A riveting atmosphere of despair and revenge fully fuels this high toxic suspense thriller. Share a breakout performance by Marlon Kazadi who looks headed for a very bright celluloid future indeed(Robert Waldman).
